Quercus trojana | Stanford

A close-up of the seedling Quercus trojana at Stanford. Pleasant, if not spectacular, fall color, as shown here, is the rule for these moderately-sized trees. Studying the shape of the leaves closely, a central narrowing can be discerned, almost certainly indicative of the mild Bur Oak (Q. macrocarpa) introgression.
