Quercus x hispanica | Davis

Several Laucombe Oaks (Quercus x hispanica) have been found around California, and here we see one planted in the Shields Grove in Davis, along with the confirming tag. The similarity to the bark in the previous entry is obvious, though hybrid variation is also obvious. These hybrids display excellent adaptation to a wide range of California microclimates, from coastal to inland.
